About Orca Slicer

Orca Slicer has a rich history of innovation in 3D printing slicing software. The Orcaslicer is developed by a professional team of passionate engineers, software developers, and 3D printing enthusiasts. Orca Slicer was originally founded by Bambu Studio previously known as BambuStudio-SoftFever.

The motive behind the formation of Orcaslicer was to create a specialized, more powerful, efficient and user-friendly slicing tool to cater all the problems faced by 3D printer professionals.

The team of professionals tried to overcome all the limitations of previous Slicers in this new tool. Orca Slicer incorporates a lot of features from SuperSlicer by @supermerill

Orca Slicer is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3. Orca Slicer is based on Bambu Studio by BambuLab.

The project was a secret initiative within a tech-focused company specialized in 3D printing technology, These individuals brought together their expertise in software development, 3D modeling, and user experience design to craft a tool that would meet the evolving needs of the 3D printing community.
